We strive to be a corporate leader by being as innovative in our business practices as we are in our designs of high-tech, high-powered bike lights. We continually look for ways to reduce the environmental impact of our manufacturing by recycling aluminum from our machine tools and using recycled office paper and recycled boxes. We recycle the cans and bottles we use. And, we make it convenient for our employees to use alternative transportation by providing a parking cash out program and a casual dress code, an onsite shower, inside bicycle parking, and by offering a loan-to-own bike program. Light & Motion also sponsors local bike-to-work and alternative transportation events. Light & Motion Wins WRAP Award for Waste Reduction! Light & Motion has received the WRAP Award for outstanding efforts in reducing waste. The Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP) is a program established by the California Integrated Waste Management Board to annually recognize California businesses that have made outstanding efforts to reduce nonhazardous waste and send less garbage to our landfills. There are approximately 1 million businesses in California and they generated nearly half of all of California’s waste. If all California businesses took the kind of lead the WRAP award winners have, there would be a tremendous drop in the amount of waste going into landfills.
