| Dear Light & Motion,
I hope all is well with you. I just wanted to drop you a quick race recap for the 24 Hour National Championships this past weekend in Spokane, Washington. Light & Motion sponsored Subaru-Gary Fisher rider Cameron Chambers was crowned the 24hr Solo National champ. The competition and weather were both tough. Chris Eatough and Tinker were on hand along with Nat. Temperatures on Saturday were upper 80s. Chris, Tinker & Nat Ross all set fast early laps. Cameron decided after the first lap to race his own race since he felt that it was ultimately going to be a race of attrition. He made the right choice. Nat crashed hard and knocked himself unconscious on the third lap. By night fall Tinker had succumbed to heat stroke and electrolyte issues. Chris and Cam battled it out for another 4 hours with less than 40 minutes separating them. With night fall came a renewed sense of energy for Cam as he passed Chris at 11pm. The following lap Chris retired due to stomach problems and severe cramping. At this point Cam settled into a comfortable pace to protect his lead from some riders who were trailing him by less than one hour. With good support, fast transitions and some luck from mechanicals, Cam was able to coast comfortably on his last lap to capture his 24hr victory and the national championship stars-n-stripes. All told, Cam logged 21 laps of a 15 mile course in 24hrs, for a total
of 315 miles and somewhere in the vicinity of 14000 calories consumed.
