15-year old Jordan Romero en Route to Conquer Mt. Vinson!

December 12, 2011  |  Blog

Today Jordan leaves for Antarctica where he and his team will attempt to summit Mount Vinson Massif, 16,050 feet high (4,900 meters). Success here will make him the youngest person to complete the Seven Summits!

“The 7th Summit…

I’ve been really lucky to travel around the world, and thankful for all of you who have helped me and follow along on these journeys. I think my best classroom is the earth, everywhere I am witnessing how people treat their bodies, treat each other, and how together we are treating the planet.

I am off to Antarctica….it’s a place in the world under a microscope for what’s happening with climate change.  I’m no expert, but I am reading about what’s happening, I want to see first-hand and listen to those who work in Antarctica. I’m very curious, I aim to learn more during this expedition. I would like to hear your ideas too about climate change from your part of the world…. How can we live healthier, live the adventure, treat each other better, and live a healthier planet earth?  What are your thoughts?”
